More about me
I began my career as a graphic designer in the world of newspapers, where I quickly developed a love for layout and order. The structured nature of print design, coupled with the need to deliver clear, compelling stories, helped me develop a keen eye for detail and interest. Working within the constraints of space and looming deadlines, I learned how to balance creativity with functionality, always striving to present information in a visually engaging yet organized manner, on budget, and on time.
My career evolved as I transitioned into branding, print design, and then presentation design, which led me to work for one of the largest consulting firms based in Seattle (and now they’re global!). It was there that I had the privilege of working with humanitarian organizations and some of the biggest names in tech. Designing for such diverse clients taught me how to adapt my approach to fit different audiences, always keeping the user or customer at the center of my work. Whether I was designing a brand identity for a nonprofit or creating polished presentations for a major tech company, my goal was always to communicate ideas clearly while maintaining the integrity of the brand.
Curiosity has always been a driving force in my life, and it’s what keeps me learning and growing as a designer. I’m deeply involved in my church as their Deacon of Communications, and passionate about supporting my local community, particularly women in business and the area’s beloved hockey team (go Tips!). I believe that design is not just about creating beautiful things but about fostering connection, and I strive to bring that sense of connection into all of my projects, from helping small businesses stand out to contributing to causes that matter to me.
